This 5-day journey combines the world-famous Serengeti migration experience with authentic Lake Victoria adventures from the shores of Musoma and Butiama. Guests witness breathtaking wildlife moments, explore local fishing communities, enjoy cultural interactions, and unwind at the peaceful Mwitongo Lodges.
Day 1: Arrival in Mwanza - Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Arrival: Mwanza Airport
You’re met by your Mwitongo Safaris guide and begin your scenic drive toward Serengeti via the western gate.
Activities
- Drive through the rocky landscapes of Mwanza ("The City of Rocks")
- Enter Serengeti through Ndabaka Gate
- Afternoon game drive toward the Western Corridor
- Sunset wildlife viewing

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive - Serengeti Migration Experience
A full day dedicated to wildlife viewing in the Central & Western regions, tracking the Great Migration herds (depending on the season).
Activities
- Morning game drive along Grumeti River
- Spotting wildebeest, zebras, lions, leopards, elephants, and more
- Picnic lunch under acacia trees
- Afternoon wildlife photography session
- Sunset drive as you head back to camp

Day 3: Serengeti - Musoma (Lake Victoria) - Transfer to Mwitongo Lodge
Morning game drive as you exit Serengeti through Fort Ikoma or Tabora B Gate toward Musoma.

- Enjoy changing landscapes from savannah to lakeside
- Arrival in Musoma for Lake Victoria exploration
- Continue to Mwitongo Butiama Lodge for check-in
